The Lord's Day
What to Expect
A Sunday morning at RiverwoodCome to the Fellowship Hall for a buffet-style breakfast. Youth and children can grab food and head to their classrooms, while college students and adults stay to study together. If you have questions, someone will be happy to direct you to the right classroom.
Our weekly corporate worship in the Sanctuary.
The Word & The Table
We believe in taking the Bible seriously. You can expect verse-by-verse preaching that connects the original meaning of Scripture to the Gospel of Jesus. We value expositional, exegetical, and gospel-centered preaching rooted in grammatical-historical hermeneutics.
We respond to the Word every Sunday by celebrating the Lord's Supper, inviting believers to rest in Christ's finished work.
Children in Worship
We cherish having infants and young children in the service with us. We view the church as a covenant family, and we believe children learn to worship by witnessing their parents and elders worship.
Please don't worry about wiggles or coos — we love the “joyful noise” of the next generation! A nursery is also available on the lower level of the Education Building.
Our Worship
Our worship is regulated by Scripture. We sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that express the faith and hope of Christians over the centuries. We read Scripture together, pray, and hear the Word of God preached. The Lord's Supper is celebrated every Lord's Day as we remember and proclaim Christ's death until He comes again.
